Birdies forE Charity

The Birdies fore Charity program is a fundraising vehicle through which participating organizations solicit pledges from supporters based on the number of birdies made by PGA Champions Tour players during the three-day championship play Friday – Sunday. Participating organizations will keep 100% of the pledges collected on their behalf.

Charity begins on the golf course at The Allianz Championship. You have the opportunity to make a charity or school a big winner by participating in the Birdies fore Charity program. Participating charities receive every single penny of the donations generated! Additionally, you have a chance to win great prizes when you pitch in to help the soliciting charity!

How Do I Pay my Pledge? There are three options to pay your pledge:

  1. Pay Online Now
  2. Call Danielle Husby at 561-241-4653 to provide your credit card number for payment
  3. Send a copy of your invoice, with check made out to The Allianz Championship to:

How it Works

Participants can either make a one-time flat donation (minimum $10), or make a pledge of $0.02 or more for each birdie made by Champions Tour players during the 2012 Allianz Championship during tournament play February 6-12, 2012.

Every birdie made during the Allianz Championship equals money for charity! Make a pledge and 100% of your donation will go directly to the charity of your choice.

There are two ways to pledge:

A per-birdie for every birdie made by the Champions Tour players during the three-day Allianz Championship or a one-time flat donation.

Minimum per-birdie: $0.02
Minimim flat donation: $10

For example, a pledge of $0.02 per birdie: $0.02 x 800 birdies = $16
The number of birdies can fluctuate due to unforeseeable conditions.

What is a Birdie?

In golf, a "birdie" is a score of one stroke better than "par" for every golf hole on the course. "Par" is the normal expected score of a golf professional on any given hole. For example, if a player scores a 4 on a par 5 then he gets a birdie.

As an added incentive to donors, each person who makes a pledge to Birdies for Charity will be given the opportunity to guess the total number of birdies made by Champions Tour players during the 2012 Allianz Championship. One correct guess will win a tWo Tickets to the Masters. Donors also qualify to win random drawings conducted by the Allianz Championship.

How the participating charities are chosen

The participating organizations must meet the following criteria:

Responsibilities of Participating Organizations

Participating organizations and their volunteers will solicit pledges of $0.02 or more per birdie, or a flat donation of $10 or more from individuals or corporations (online or via pledge form).

Participating organizations and their volunteers will collect completed pledge forms and return them to The Allianz Championship for processing.

With the exception of postage for mailing collected pledge forms to The Allianz Championship for administration, there is NO cost to taking part in the program.

Participating charities will receive 100% of their collected donations.
